The Reconstruction Destructed film tour wrapped in Saint Paul, MN a couple of weeks ago, and I will always carry with me the deep sense of love and connection that emerged during our post-screening discussions across small communities throughout Minnesota.
At every stop, people showed up with open hearts, courage, and a willingness to engage in truth-telling together. Those conversations reminded me that before we can move forward in unity, we must confront America’s history of enslavement with honesty and accountability.
This is the era of truth and reckoning — and our communities are ready.
