St. Paul – Story Circle: DCYF Fatherhood Series
November 7 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm CST
Free
The Department of Children, Youth, and Family services (DCYF) in partnership with the Minnesota Humanities Center (MHC) will host the second of three Story Circle series. This special project is designed to build a leadership task force comprised of fathers who will gain a deeper understanding of accessible systems and resources, but to also develop a stronger sense of their own empowerment.
“Fatherhood in Community” is the focus of Session Two as participants learning in circle at the feet of a community elder whose lived experience serves as a guide of inspiration to listeners. Participants get to examine issues needing to be addressed in collaboration with DCYF for taking beneficial action steps for moving forward. Each of the three sessions will be facilitated by Rose McGee, MHC Story Circle Practitioner, along with Emmanuel Donaby, DCYF Fatherhood Project Coordinator.
